A universal foreigner grown in France, evolved in 5 different countries and now based in London, unapologetically neurodivergent, steeped in mystical experiences, and a trauma survivor striving daily to make peace with chronic pain.
From Folk Blues Songwriting to Shamanic Vocal Improvisation, sprinkled with a little Arctic Beat Boxing and old-times Jazz, my musical expression journeys through varied landscapes.
Melting boundaries between genres, I explore music as Medicine. As an instrument for authentic expression, play, somatic healing, and spiritual connection to land, ancestral wisdom, self and each other. Taking a collection of instruments for the ride, from classy pianos to shamanic frame drums, vocal sound journeys layered on loop machines, to my old raggedy travelling banjo.
I also like crafting lyrics and poems shamelessly exploring the authentic depths of the average tortured psyche, yet steeped in unshakably loving perspectives, channelling performances and atmospheres immersed in the ecstatic grief and excruciating beauty of the human condition, telling tales of despair and delusion, followed by accidental self-empowerments and spiritual epiphanies, weaving phantasmagoric worlds to wrap ourselves into whilst throwing baffled glances at modern society’s expectations.
Vocal Improv Medicine workshops
I am particularly passionate about helping others to find and rewild their voice, holding space and designing experiences to make singing safe, primal and fun again.
I am currently working hard behind the scenes to create Vocal Improv Medicine, my upcoming online course and community dedicated to voice activation, for those who want to find, free and rewild their voice. Bringing together vocal improvisation singing techniques from around the world and somatic practices with elements of tantra and shamanism, sprinkled with a healthy dose of playfulness, we will explore together how voice affects our nervous system, states of consciousness and well-being.
